We are GreenPool. Our goal is to provide urban areas of Paris with an innovative service that connects recycling with community involvement, encouraging consumers to clean their surrounding by bringing personal or randomly collected waste to specific bins that are capable of identifying and weighing the waste and associating the quantity submitted with our “eco point reward system”.
Users can earn points for every item of recyclable garbage they submit at a specific Green Pool reverse vending machine. The system will require users to create an account with Green Pool that allows them to see how many points they have collected, and more importantly how these points can be redeemed.
We as the GreenPool team are responsible for creating and curating a network of eco-friendly/environmentally conscious stores, ranging from sports attire to organic food stores, located around the city, that are willing to provide some of their products, goods or services at a discount or for free in exchange for a certain amount of eco points. Users will be able to access their account to check their points via our website and/or app. The available discounted items/sales and corresponding stores/restaurants etc. will also be featured on both the web and app.
For our service to work we must collaborate with four major entities: reverse vending technology bin companies, the local government, private companies and eco-friendly stores.
Our service is threefold:
We provide eco/friendly stores with a unique way of marketing their products/advertising their brand (this is especially good for stores who are less known. Users will be notified on their smartphone when a location that is part of the Green Pool program discounts is nearby and what they could get with their current points and if they recycled a bit more). As mentioned above we are responsible for selecting our eco-friendly partners and maintaining the network.
We provide the specific reverse vending machine companies a chance to operate throughout the city and retain about 1/3rd of the garbage collected. Also, we provide the city of Paris with a recycling service that will contribute to the cleanliness of the environment.
Finally, we provide consumers with a fun, rewarding and convenient way to recycle.
